Hooters on Saturday will host a fundraiser for Dewayne Flowers, the Columbus man who lost more than 600 pounds and needs a procedure to take care of the loose skin from his weight loss.

The event is noon to 3 p.m. and includes a car wash. Flowers, a professional body painter and photographer, will paint kids' faces and display his art for sale. Proceeds go toward Flowers' surgery fund.

The work he needs could cost over $25,000. He has no health insurance.

Watch an interview with Flowers by clicking on the video that accompanies this page.

Hooters is at 2650 Adams Farm Drive in Columbus. Call 706-596-4668.
