Hey, do you have a library card?
There's no better time than to get one. September is National Library Card Sign Up Month, and the American Library Assocation and the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries want you to get one.
With a library card, you have free access to music, DVDs, the internet, and, of course, books. And if you sign up for one now, you can get discounts and sometimes free food at area restaurants. Just by showing your library card.
If you apply for a new library card during September, you will receive a coupon for 10 percent off your next flight on American Airlines/American Eagle purchased between Sept. 1 and Dec. 1. Your name will also be entered for a chance to win two free airline tickets to anywhere in the continental United States, Mexico, Canada or the Caribbean.
If you already have a library card, register for the library's texting service during September and you'll be entered to win two airline tickets.
That means the library will be giving away four round-trip coach airline tickets that will be good for one year. Two winners will be announced later in the fall.
