Can't pass your GED? Listen to some Mozart.

That was one of the bits of wisdom that came out of Tuesday's episode of "Teen Mom" on MTV, when Amber resumed her GED studies but failed a practice test. Her fiance Gary told her to listen to some Mozart to get smarter.

Also on Tuesday's episode, Maci decided to move closer to her new boyfriend. Farrah tried speed dating, but didn't meet a match. And Butch, Tyler's father and Catelynn's stepfather, returned to rehab.

Here's a full recap of the show:

MACI BOOKOUT

Everything is great with Maci and her new man, Kyle, except for the fact that they live two hours apart.

During a visit, Kyle tells Maci she should move so they can be closer together. Her answer? "Maybe."

Maci tells one of her friends that she and Kyle need to live in the same city so they can know if their relationship will work.

Maci looks into transferring to a university near Kyle. She chats with her adviser and says she wants to transfer because of personal issues. Her adviser wisely asks, "What's his name?"

Then, Maci looks at day cares near Kyle. During the experience, Maci's son Bentley calls Kyle "dada."

Maci and Kyle have a heart-to-heart chat. She asks how serious they are about each other. Kyle's answer? "Pretty a lot." Brilliant. But overall, they're happy and it looks like everything's a "go" for the move.

Maci isn't ready to tell her parents or Ryan, the father of her child, about the move. She tells her friends, and they're a little nervous for her...then happy. Sort of.

AMBER PORTWOOD

Amber hopes to finally get her high school diploma. She wants to take courses online, but learns it costs about $350. Her fiance Gary, who has his high school diploma, advises her to just get a GED -- that's only $60. Amber doesn't like the idea.

She discusses her options with her career counselor and says she fears people will think she's irresponsible if she has a GED. That fear aside, the counselor suggests she should go for the GED. Amber agrees.

She shares the news with Gary, and he's happy. He's even OK when Amber says she wants to quit her job and study, meaning that Gary will have to get a job.

Gary tells Amber that if she passes her GED, he'll take her to dinner. Who thinks the festivities will take place at Golden Corral?

Later, Gary returns to his usual ways.

He reminds Amber of the importance of passing her GED. Why? "I want to marry a woman who's on her game," Gary says.

Amer takes a practice GED test and things don't go well. She cries while sitting in front of the computer. She learns she failed the whole thing. Gary tells her to listen to some Mozart to get smarter.

FARRAH ABRAHAM

Amid the failed car sale transaction, Farrah is broke. She has about $100 to get her through the month, and she won't ask her parents for help. Her mom is still doing the community service that came out of this deal.

Farrah's friend watches her daughter, Sophia, while Farrah works extra hours. Her friend learns a valuable lesson about the stresses of teen motherhood.

She also encourages Farrah to try speed dating.

Farrah gives it a shot, but things don't turn out well. She doesn't find any good matches. All the guys seem significantly older than Farrah...and significantly creepy.

CATELYNN LOWELL

Butch, Tyler's father and Catelynn's stepfather, learns he must go back to rehab. Tyler's reaction? "At least you're going to rehab and not jail."

While talking to Catelynn, Tyler says, "Sometimes I feel way more grown up than he is." The experience makes Tyler and Catelynn even more confident in their decision to put their daughter up for adoption.

Catelynn's mom says an emotional farewell to Butch. In rehab, Butch says his drug of choice is cocaine.

Catelynn's mom takes her anger out on Catelynn, yelling at her for no reason. Once again, she criticizes Catelynn for putting her daughter up for adoption. Between obscenities, she tells Catelynn, "Go away...you're irritating me."

Catelynn asks Tyler to pick her up. Eventually, she returns home and tries to help her mom by cleaning the house. It works. They exchange a hug at the episode's end.
