Tuesday's episode of "Teen Mom" on MTV contained a variety of romantic moments. Catelynn and Tyler were named prom queen and king, while Amber's fiance Gary spent a whopping $10 on flowers for Amber's birthday.

Try to contain your swooning, Gary fans.

Also, Maci and Ryan began an angry custody battle. Farrah and her mom took a small step in fixing their relationship.

Here's a full recap of Tuesday's show.

MACI BOOKOUT

Maci's ready to move closer to her new man, but she hasn't told Ryan, the father of her son Bentley. Unfortunately, when Maci has big news, Ryan also has big news. He wants to spend more time with Bentley and change their custody agreement.

While chatting with her friend, Maci says Ryan isn't going to get more time with Bentley. She thinks he only wants to spend extra time with his son to decrease his child support payments.

Maci texts Ryan and says he can't spend more time with Bentley. Ryan's friends -- and his new girlfriend -- tell him the situation is unfair. Ryan considers taking Maci to court.

Ryan meets with an expert and learns that the court can issue an injunction if Maci moves more than 100 miles away while legal action is pending. Guess what? Her destination is more than 100 miles away.

Ryan tells Maci he met with a lawyer. He wants Bentley to spend three days with Maci and three days with Ryan every week. Maci says that arrangement won't give Bentley a home.

Ryan's response? "I don't have any rights, so it kind of sucks." He asks Maci if she's going to move. She says yes. Ryan wants to take her to court.

"OK, then I guess we'll go to court," Maci says.

Ryan's family agrees with his decision. Meanwhile, Maci cries on the phone with her mom and says Ryan doesn't deserve to see Bentley.

CATELYNN LOWELL

It's prom time for Catelynn. She goes shopping with her mom and friend. Unfortunately, one of her shopping partners is a total downer. If you guessed Catelynn's mom, you're right. A sample critique? "I don't like that dress. It's ugly."

Her mom leaves the shopping excursion early. Catelynn thinks her mom is still mad that Catelynn gave her daughter up for adoption.

Later, Catelynn's mom yells obscenities at her for no reason. Her mom also makes her pay for the gas it took to get to the shopping center. Catelynn's friend wisely attributes her mom's behavior to jealousy. Or she could just be mad her husband's in rehab.

Catelynn and Tyler walk a dog while Catelynn complains about not losing her baby weight. Naturally, the discussion turns to Catelynn's mom. They conclude she's still mad about the adoption.

On a happier note, it's prom night! Tyler and Catelynn are nominated for prom king and queen. They win. Aww.

FARRAH ABRAHAM

Farrah still doesn't trust her mom, but she considers going to counseling together for her daughter Sophia's sake.

Farrah calls her mom and invites her to therapy. Her mom (somewhat reluctantly) agrees.

At the session, Farrah's mom says she'd like Farrah to be happy again. "I want her to be happy like she used to be," she says. "We were like best friends in many ways."

Meanwhile, Farrah says her mom isn't making the right moves to have a good friendship. She doesn't know if her mom loves her. As Farrah complains, the therapist interjects.

"Your body language and your verbal output couldn't be any more distancing," the therapist tells Farrah. She encourages them to simply hang out together.

Farrah and her mom go out for coffee. Farrah says she likes living on her own. Her mom says Sophia needs somebody to help her learn. She offers to watch Sophia. Aww, they all sing baby songs together.

It's enough to make Farrah take her mom up on the offer.

AMBER PORTWOOD

It's Amber's birthday. Her fiance Gary splurges and spends a whopping $10 on flowers. He also offers to watch their daughter Leah while Amber goes out.

Amber gets ready to party with her friends. Everything is perfect...until Gary's idiot friend encourages him to bug Amber about her girls' night out. Gary gets overly curious about her plans. Amber and Gary have a fight that culminates in Gary refusing to babysit AND refusing to buy her a birthday cake. Gary's idiot friend suggests they use the birthday cake money for beer.

Amber is left without a babysitter -- and without birthday plans.

Gary calls Amber and says she can go out under one condition. "If you want to go, you've got to invite me," he says.

Amber's conclusion? "I'm done with you."

Gary comes home with a cake for Amber. He apologizes and gets a chuckle from some trick candles. Later, Amber goes out with her friends. All is well.
