Columbus crime: Victory Drive Circle K robbed at gunpoint

Columbus police are looking for a suspect in a gas station robbery that occurred early Friday morning.

According to a Columbus police report, a man entered the Circle K station on Victory Drive at around 2:45 a.m., armed with a revolver. Police said he pointed it at the clerk and took an undisclosed amount of money.

When police arrived, they observed a man with a handgun fleeing the store. They chased him into the trailer park behind the store. Police were unable to catch the man, but he dropped the plastic bag of money he was carrying.

The suspect was described as a man standing about five feet two inches, wearing a black T-shirt with no sleeves and a white undershirt, as well as blue jeans, black shoes and a black mask.

The case remains under investigation.
