A night after picking up their first win of the season, the Columbus Cottonmouths fell 3-2 to the Huntsville Havoc on Saturday night.
Huntsville scored a pair of goals in the first period. Kyle Laughlin and Ray Ortiz scored just 1:17 apart.
Columbus (1-3) finally managed to score 3:36 into the final period as Levi Lind scored unassisted.
But only a couple minutes later, at the 5:55 mark, Glen Detulleo scored on a power play to give the Havoc a 3-1 lead.
Columbus added a goal by Jesse Cole at the 8:55 mark on a power play. Lind and Kyle Lundale had the assists.
Andrew Loewen started and played the entire game in goal for the Snakes, stopping 30 of 33 shots.
Columbus returns home to host Fayetteville at 10 a.m. Thursday.
