Eufaula police investigate homicide

Eufaula police are investigating the Thursday shooting death of a 61-year-old man as a homicide, the Barbour County Coroner’s Office said.

The man, whose name hasn’t been released, was shot in the 600 block of Parker Drive. He was pronounced dead at 12:37 a.m., Coroner Sidney Chapman Jr. said in a release.

The case is being investigated by Eufaula police, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation, the Barbour County District Attorney’s Office and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
