Child, Youth & School Services youth basketball teams continued action Saturday at the CYSS gym.
In the 9-10 age division, Team 2 defeated Team 4 14-5. Team 2 got out to a quick 7-2 lead in the first quarter and kept the lead the remainder of the game. Joshua Youngblood and Shamari McKan combined for five free throws in the first quarter. Youngblood finished with seven points. Colin Castleton led Team 4 with four points.

In the second game of the 9-10 age division, Team 3 ran away with a 16-4 win over Team 1. Hudson Zeisman scored all five first half points for Team 3 and finished with eight points for the game. Four other players for Team 3 each had a field goal in the second half, making Team 3 more balanced on offense. Christian Turner had the only field goal for Team 1 while Christian Rodriguez hit a pair of free throws in the fourth quarter.

In the early game of the 11-13 age division, Team 4 won big over Team 2, 33-11. Led by Dalton Pritt and JongHyun Jung, Team 4 scored 28 of its 33 points in the first half. Dalton and JongHyun both finished with 13 points in the game. Caleb Youngblood led Team 2 in scoring with nine points.

The late game was the closest contest on Saturday as Team 3 narrowly defeated Team 1 17-13. Team 3 trailed 9-7 at halftime, but Christopher Chambers and Marquel Fordham provided a surge in the second half, scoring nine of the teams final 10 points. Chambers and Fordham each finished with eight points. Elijah Gardner and Rajae Money led Team 1 with four points each.
