Where: CSU Intramural Field on University Avenue

Registration: Day-of only; $10 for the fun run, $25 for the 5K

Cause: The goal is to empower youth to make healthy lifestyle choices and reverse the growth of childhood obesity. Proceeds will support the Junior League’s programs and projects that focus on their signature issue, The Healthy Child.

When: 9 a.m. Saturday

Where: Hardaway High School, 2901 College Drive

Registration: $20, $10 for ages 3-10 online through Thursday; $25, $15 for ages 3-10 on race day

Sponsored by: Many local businesses, with Rivertown Ford as the platinum sponsor

Cause: Inspired by two local boys with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, all proceeds will benefit Families of SMA

Other activities: Stick around after the race for a performance by local band Classic Addict, face painting, an appearance by Monkey Joe and food.

EUFAULA PILGRIMAGE 5K/1-MILE FUN RUN

When: 8 a.m. CDT April 2

Where: Rails for Trails, across from the Eufaula Champber of Commerce, 333 East Broad St., Eufaula, Ala.

Registration: $15 through March 30, $20 after March 30; $10 no-shirt option; $3 for Fun Run (ages 12 and younger)
