Kids hunt for Easter eggs

Grab an Easter basket and head to one of these area Easter egg hunts. Most are free and offer additional kid-friendly activities like face-painting, story time and photo opportunities with a certain bunny.

SATURDAY, APRIL 23

Landmark Church of the Nazarene Easter Family Day: 10 a.m. Includes an Easter egg hunt, picnic lunch, scavenger hunt, face painting, games and more. Free. The church is at 270 Lee Road 456 in Phenix City. 334-297-4200.

Wynnbrook Baptist Church: 500 River Knoll Way. A community Easter egg hunt will be 10-11:30 a.m. 706-323-4374 or www.wynnbrookbaptist.com

Phenix City-Russell County Library: 1501 17th Ave. An Easter egg hunt for those attending Story Time at 11 a.m. Bring your basket. Free. 334-297-1139.

Tri-City Easter Egg Hunt: Noon-3 p.m. at the Shirley B. Winston Super Center, 5025 Steam Mill Road, Columbus. Ages 3 to 12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Florence Marina State Park Easter Egg Hunt: 1-3 p.m. for age groups: 3-4; 6-8 and 9-10. The park is at 218 Florence Drive, Omaha, Ga., Ga. 39. Parking: $5. 229-38-4706 or www.GeorgiaStateParks.org.

Callaway Gardens Easter Egg Hunts: 2-5 p.m. on the lawn of the Overlook Azalea Garden. Bring an Easter basket. The Easter Bunny will visit noon-5 p.m. Free with admission of $12.50-$25. 706-663-2281.

SUNDAY, APRIL 24

MyChurch: Following each church service (8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.) plastic Easter eggs will be dropped near the church yard from a helicopter. The Easter Bunny will be on board the chopper, flown by a private pilot. 6720 Flat Rock Road, Midland. 706-569-7729.
