The 2011 Miss Georgia Pageant continues at 7:30 p.m. at the Bill Heard Theatre at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts tonight through Saturday. Miss Georgia 2010 Christina McCauley will crown the new Miss Georgia Saturday. The new Miss Georgia will represent the state at the next Miss America Pageant. Miss Georgias Outstanding Teen 2010 Camille Sims will also give up her crown on Saturday. The teen contestants also compete tonight through Saturday.
Tickets cost $30 for tonight's preliminary rounds; $60 for Friday and $80 for Saturday. Call 706-256-3612, for more information.

Miss Georgia contestant winners:
Swimsuit winner: Miss Lake Lanier Leslie Farman won a $250 scholarship
Evening wear winner: Miss Rome Stephanie Burkholder received a $250 scholarship
Talent winner: Miss Atlanta Kristen Springer earned at $500 scholarship for her ballet en pointe performance to Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5."

The 2011 Miss Georgia Pageant began with April Brinson Slaughenhoup, Miss Georgia 1998, singing the national anthem. The 40 Miss Georgia contestants, wearing sequined silver sheaths, introduce themselves.
Next the 35 Outstanding Outstanding Teen competitors, also wearing sequined silver sheaths, introduced themselves.
The judges:
Andrea Krahn, Miss Georgia 1994, now living in California, is an accomplished singer and actor.
Scott Padgett is the meteorologist for WPLG-TV 10 in Miami.
Rondal Richardson has 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He lives in Nashville.
Libbi Taylor is the head judge. She has more than 20 years of experience in the Miss America organization.
Cynde Watson is a celebrity make-up artist and has worked for Bobbi Brown and Avon.

Kicking off the first night of preliminary competition was the 2010 Miss Georgia's Outstanding Teen Camilla Sims. She talked to the hosts and sang a song from "Dreamgirls."
The 2011 Miss Georgia Pageant continues at 7:30 p.m. at the Bill Heard Theatre at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts on Thursday and Friday. It culminates on Saturday when Miss Georgia 2010 Christina McCauley crowns the new Miss Georgia.
The new Miss Georgia will represent the state at the next Miss America Pageant.
