A U.S. postal employee was robbed by two men on 11th Street Tuesday afternoon, Columbus police said.

The 36-year-old woman was in the 2900 block of 11th Street around 2 p.m. when two men on bicycles approached and asked for money. She told them she had no money, and one of the men then told her to “give him the money. He has a wife that is six months pregnant,” reports state.

Police said the postal worker thought the men wanted a handout, but she became nervous when one of them said he wasn’t joking. That’s when one of them said “this can go easy” and stood up on his bicycle. She then gave them $12, and continued on her route.

The woman reported the robbery to police the next day after a coworker heard her talking about it and said she should speak with her supervisor, reports state.

The first suspect is a 5-foot-6 white man, 45- to 55-years-old with a thin build. He had gray hair and brown teeth. He wore a dirty, white T-shirt and dirty blue jeans. He was riding a rusty gray bicycle designed for women.

The second suspect is a 6-foot white man, 45- to 55-years-old, police said.
