The success of the AMC show "Mad Men" is not only quantified by how many viewers each episode garners or how many awards line the shelves of the stars and creators.
It can also been seen in the impact the show has had on fashion.
Banana Republic has revealed it's "Man Men" line of clothing, which will be available in stores beginning in August.
The line has some nice basic pieces and a few fun accessories, but I have to agree with this Flavorwire piece that points out some of the best "Mad Men" trends that Banana Republic left out.
Many of the Banana Republic pieces are geared towards work attire, which I think balances nicely with my favorite retro-inspired clothing site ModCloth, which consists of mostly fun, less business-y pieces.
Overall, though, the commenters don't seem all that impressed with BR's new line.
Thoughts? Is the "Mad Men"-style over or is the look just better achieved by other designers?
