About a year ago, I was at Fort Benning to do an interview with Veronique Chabot, the wife of a French liaison officer. Veronique, an artist, said her English wasnt that great so she asked a friend, Myriam Hallock to act as an interpreter.
Myriam wasnt needed because Veroniques English was perfect. I dont know why she was so unsure of herself.
Myriam is a very nice woman who recently sent me an e-mail about the Ballet in Cinema and Opera in Cinema series at Carmike Cinemas.
I went to the Ritz 13 last week to ask assistant manager Montez Smith about these events.
I say events rather than movies because the ballets and operas are shown live from the original venues.
Myriam said she went to see the ballet, Children of Paradise, on July 9. She called her friend in Paris and told her about it.
It turned out her friend was in the audience at the Paris Opera House (think The Phantom of the Opera).
Isnt that amazing?
