Everythings better with bacon. Sorry, vegetarians and pork-haters, its true.
Even brownies, it turns out, are better with bacon.
I was intrigued after reading about Bacon-Bourbon Brownies in the August issue of Food and Wine magazine. Sure, I was a bit apprehensive, too, but Ive been to Portland Oregons Voodoo Doughnuts. Ive waited in line for an hour to eat their famous Maple Bacon Doughnut.
It was delicious. Well worth the hour-long wait, which is about how long I had to wait for the bacon-bourbon brownies to bake.
These Bacon-Bourbon Brownies with Pecans are from CNN's Eatocracy food blogger Kat Kinsman. They appeared in Augusts Food and Wine magazine.
If you need an easier salty-chocolate recipe, fry some bacon and dip it melted chocolate. Sounds crazy; tastes delicious.
