Everything’s better with bacon. Sorry, vegetarians and pork-haters, it’s true.

Even brownies, it turns out, are better with bacon.

I was intrigued after reading about Bacon-Bourbon Brownies in the August issue of Food and Wine magazine. Sure, I was a bit apprehensive, too, but I’ve been to Portland Oregon’s Voodoo Doughnut’s. I’ve waited in line for an hour to eat their famous Maple Bacon Doughnut.

It was delicious. Well worth the hour-long wait, which is about how long I had to wait for the bacon-bourbon brownies to bake.

These Bacon-Bourbon Brownies with Pecans are from CNN's Eatocracy food blogger Kat Kinsman. They appeared in August’s Food and Wine magazine.

If you need an easier salty-chocolate recipe, fry some bacon and dip it melted chocolate. Sounds crazy; tastes delicious.

Here's a recipe for Chocolate covered bacon from Food Network’s Michael Symon.
