Rolinda McKnight held two baby dolls in front of her 14-month old daughter, Elizabeth.

“I’m trying to ask her which one she wants, but she keeps saying ‘hi’ to all of them,” she said. McKnight was one of several shoppers looking for bargains at the Just 4 Kidz consignment sale at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center this week.

Just 4 Kidz owner Regina Yates said this is the 10th year of the sale and it’s grown a lot since she began selling items out of a basement.

Shoppers can have their pick of 40,000 consigned items, including kids clothes, household items, furniture and seasonal decorations.

The sale began Tuesday and continues through Saturday, with discount shopping days on Friday and Saturday.

Yates said shoppers should bring a basket or something to carry their items in.

McKnight, who towed a laundry basket on a string behind her stroller, agreed.

“Next time I’ll bring something with wheels instead of dragging it,” she said. Bringing snacks for your kids while you shop is also a good idea, she said.

Katelynn Phillips, who was on the lookout for a car seat, kids’ clothes and a toy tool set for her 9-month old son, Brantley Rammage, recommended arriving at the sale early.

“All the best stuff goes quick,” she said. “Get the big stuff first and then come look for clothes.”

The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. On Friday, all items marked with a discount tag will be 25 percent off. On Saturday, all items marked with a discount tag will be 50 percent off. Shoppers can pay with Visa, Mastercard, check or cash. Items that are not sold are donated to charity.
