Bring your skateboards, but leave your pajamas at home if you plan on attending The Skate Sheds all-night skate session this Saturday.
For $20, skaters can skateboard and test out their skills on the parks ramps from 2 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday at the indoor skateboarding park and skate shop on 44th Street.
Jeremy Bond at the Skate Shed said hes organized similar events at other venues with great success.
Its pretty popular, he said.
Bond said hell have some movies and skate videos, as well as an Xbox 360 set up for games during the all-night event, but he said attendees should keep in mind that its mostly for skateboarding.
You dont want someone who is not going to be entertained by skateboarding, he said, adding that he didnt recommend the all-night session for young skaters, but kids 12 and older are welcome. Anybody can come, any skill level.
Each skater will get two tickets for concessions that they can use at any time during the night. Skaters will also get pizza at midnight. Parents must sign a waiver to drop off their kids at the skate park and all skaters must be picked up by 8 a.m. on Sunday.
If you dont want to go all night Saturday, the Skate Shed is also open during the week. The park holds a Bible study on Tuesday nights from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a skate session from 7 to 9 p.m. Skaters can also skate from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.
