Congratulations to the Troup High Schools Career, Technology, Agriculture Education Department and specifically the Agricultural Mechanics program, on achieving industry-certification.
Mr. Mike Riley, the Agricultural Mechanics teacher, hosted a visiting team of industry professionals on Aug. 23 who determined the program and facilities met industry standard. Attaining this status makes the Agricultural Mechanics program the fifth industry-certified program at Troup High School. Additionally, Troup High School is the first Agricultural Mechanics program in Georgia to become industry certified, making Troup Highs program the benchmark program against which all other applying programs will be compared. Riley and Troup High Schools Agricultural Mechanics program will be formally recognized at the January 2012 conference of the Georgia Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association.
