Even if you can’t grasp rodeo events, you probably understand rodeo food.

We’re talking about barbecue dishes. Burgers. Blooming onions. You’ll find those options and more at this weekend’s PRCA ProRodeo.

“It’s a big variety of food options,” said Trisha Mobley, secretary of the Harris County Cattlemen’s Association, the group that organizes the rodeo.

Held Friday and Saturday at Mike Tracy Arena in Hamilton, Ga., the rodeo includes events like team roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing and more. Which event often dominates the night?

“Most of the crowd loves the bull riding,” Mobley said.

Now in its 23rd year, the rodeo boasts entertainment for all ages. In addition to vendors and inflatables, you can look forward to marveling at all the Western wear guests will showcase this weekend.

“It’s a very family-oriented event,” Mobley said. “It’s almost like a homecoming for a lot of people in Harris County.”
