Jasmine's story: Grandmother's breast cancer helps family become closer

Columbus, GASeptember 16, 2011

In December 8th 2004 my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was 8 years old.

I really did not know what breast cancer was when I was that young. All I know is that I saw her in pain but she was always full of happiness.

After breast cancer my family became closer. She is a cancer survivor for 7 years now. She is a walking blessing in my eyes. I am very thankful to have her all these years and many more to come.

So anybody reading this who was diagnosed with breast cancer or knows anyone that was affected, I hope this has encouraged you to never give up hope.

God Bless!
