Rangers lead the way!
On Saturday, you can try to keep up.
The Darby Ranger Run starts at 8 a.m. at Camp Darby, where the Fourth Ranger Training Brigade whips Army Ranger wanna-bes into shape.
The race can be completed as a 5K, 10K or 30K and costs $30-$50 depending on the run. Included in the price is a shot at the Darby Queen obstacle course, which, according to the Military Channels website, consists of 20 obstacles which test endurance, tenacity and dedication.
The Darby Queen can be tackled solo for $20 if youre not into the running part.
The course will be slightly modified for safety purposes and, according to a YouTube video posted about the event, there will be spotters at each event.
Registration can be completed online at Active.com (keyword: Darby Ranger Run) or in person today from noon-7 p.m. at Big Dog Running Co. on Broadway.
Proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project and the Darby Association. Awards will be given to male and female race winners in each age group.
