Two teens face accusations they forced a 12-year-old girl into an abandoned shed at Belvedere Park earlier this month, pulled down her pants and underwear and molested her before the girl’s dog bit one of them and she escaped.

Quentin Elijah Palmer, 17, faces charges of child molestation and false imprisonment. Columbus Recorder’s Court Senior Judge Michael Cielinski on Tuesday ordered Palmer held on $35,000 bonds.

In his statement to police, Palmer denied touching the girl and said he only kissed her.

“She went into the shed to see what was going on with the dog,” said Columbus Police Detective Richard Campbell. “According to the victim, they locked the door and couldn’t get out.”

Campbell said the 16-year-old suspect, whose name hasn’t been released, would be taken into custody this afternoon.
