Rachel Faircloth, 45, of Woodland, Ga. was killed this morning when her vehicle struck a tractor trailer head on.

The accident happened north of Waverly Hall on Georgia Highway 85.

Harris County Coroner Jimmy Carver pronounced her dead at 10:45 a.m. about 15 minutes after the crash. The cause of death, he said, was blunt force trauma. Carver said she was pinned in the vehicle and was not wearing a seat belt.

Faircloth was headed south. The Georgia State Patrol said that for some reason she lost control of her vehicle and went off the road then came back on and struck the truck.

The driver complained of some pain but did not seek medical treatment.
