Christmas is still 46 days away, but Santa comes to town today.
You can see Saint Nick at the Grand Lighting of the Landings. The shopping center on Airport Thruway will have a variety of activities going on from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. today, including live music, free horse and carriage rides and free popcorn and cotton candy.
A parade featuring the Northside High marching band will begin at 6 p.m. near Big Lots. The parade will escort Santa to his place under a tent near Fuddruckers.
The official lighting will also be at 6 p.m. Local musicians Jonathan and Lisa Moore will perform at 7 p.m.
Cant make it to tonights celebration? The shopping center will have free horse and carriage rides and visits with Santa until Christmas.
Horse and carriage rides will be offered on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning November 11.
Visits with Santa will be available from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on certain Fridays -- Nov. 11, Nov. 25, Dec. 9, Dec. 19 and Dec. 23 -- and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on certain Saturdays -- Nov. 12, Dec. 3, Dec. 10 andDec. 17.
The Budweiser Clydesdales will visit the Landings on Saturday, December 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, December 11, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Landings Market will also be open on Fridays and Saturdays in November and December. Visitors can buy fresh produce, baked goods, local honey and handmade jewelry at the Market from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays until Dec. 23 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays until December 17.
