Columbus, GA -- My dogs, Sassy and Alley, want all of you sensitive, kind-hearted, animal-loving readers to consider sharing your holiday cheer with the furry creatures at PAWS Humane by participating in this years Foster for the Holidays program.
It offers shelter pets a chance to be surrounded by a loving family for the holidays. It also gives potential pet owners a commitment-free chance to see if theyre ready to adopt.
If youre interested, simply fill out an application. Find them online at pawshumane.org and at PAWS, 4900 Milgen Road. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays. Applications are due Wednesday and accepted applicants can preselect their potential foster pets Thursday through Saturday. Holiday pals can be picked up on Monday, Dec. 19 and returned Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Of course if you fall in love with your new friend, a permanent adoption is possible. For more information, call 706-565-0035 ext. 205 or email adopt@pawshumane.org.
Sassy and Alley, both rescue dogs, insist that foster pet parents dont need to give presents to their new friends. A comfy spot in your cozy home is gift enough! Of course, if you insist on gift-giving, Sassy suggests plush dog toys and Alley has never tasted a Milk-Bone she didnt love.
