Councilor Judy Thomas denies that shes out to get City Manager Isaiah Hugley, of which she says shes been accused.
During Columbus Councils discussion Tuesday of her proposal to remove evaluation of the city manager, among others, from the mayors office, Thomas said she wanted to set the record straight.
I did not propose this in order to fire the city manager, as I have been accused, Thomas said, turning toward Hugley on the other side of the council horseshoe desk. Mr. City Manager, I want to tell you in front of God and everybody, I am not after your job.
I dont want you fired. I dont want the city attorney fired and I dont want the internal auditor fired. I dont want anybody fired.
