Columbus police arrested an unruly student Wednesday who allegedly refused to accompany a teacher to the office after arriving late for class.

Rakequis Rogers, 18, a student at Spencer High School, was charged with one count of disrupting a public school.

Rogers arrived late for a class Wednesday morning as school officials were conducting a "tardy sweep," according to a police report. The assistant principal called an officer to room 118.

Rogers refused to go to the office and told the assistant principal that "she was not going to suspend him," the report says.

"No folks, I ain't going nowhere," Rogers declared, according to the report, shouting and causing a disruption in the hall. "You can't suspend me."

He was arrested at the scene and taken to the Muscogee County Jail.
