Columbus police said about $2,000 worth of damage was caused Wednesday to two Coca-Cola vending machines at Columbus Park Crossing.

A Coke employee told police that up to $300 may have been taken from the machines depending on when they were last serviced.

A police report shows someone drilled holes into the right side of the machines, and the front door of one of the machines had been pried open.

Police checked other vending machines in the area and found that the suspect had apparently tried to break into another one without success.
