Recap: NC State vs. Northeastern

Lorenzo Brown and C.J. Leslie each scored 16 points to lead NC State over Northeastern, 88-59, in a non-conference bout at the RBC Center.

For the Wolfpack (8-4), Richard Howell notched a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while C.J. Williams also scored 14 points.

The Huskies (3-7) were led by Jonathan Lee and Joel Smith who each finished with 15 points, while Quincy Ford pulled down 10 rebounds but shot just 2- of-11 from the floor.

NC State held Northeastern to just 34.5 percent shooting from the field in the first half, while hitting on 42.4 percent of its shots, including 4-of-8 from three-point range, and took a 38-25 lead into halftime.

The Wolfpack turned up the heat in the second half, hitting on 61.3 percent of their field goals, including a healthy 7-of-12 from long-range. The Huskies could manage just 41.9 percent from the floor in the second and managed to hit a mere 2-of-10 threes in the second half, as the Wolfpack cruised to the easy victory.

NC State was very unselfish on the night, dishing out 24 assists, including nine by Brown and six by Williams, while turning it over just 10 times. The Wolfpack also pushed the pace and outscored the Huskies on fast break points, 21-6.
