Recap: North Texas vs. L-S-U

Storm Warren scored 15 points in 20 minutes to lead the LSU Tigers to a 67-58 victory over the North Texas Mean Green in a non-conference bout at The Super Pit.

Justin Hamilton scored 14 points and grabbed nine boards for the Tigers (9-3) as they won their sixth-straight contest. Johnny O'Bryant III recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds and Malcolm White chipped in 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field.

Chris Jones led the Mean Green (6-6) with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the floor. Tony Mitchell scored 11 points in his third game with the team.

The game went into halftime tied 35-35 after LSU came back from an early seven-point deficit. The Tigers had a better shooting performance in the opening half as they made 46.9 percent of their shots from the floor, but North Texas made 10-of-11 from the charity stripe to keep it even.

The Mean Green fell behind after halftime due to a sub par shooting performance as they made just 35.3 percent of their field goal attempts. The Tigers led by 10 with 11:22 left to play.

The reserves played a key role as LSU's bench outscored its counterpart 34-17. The Tigers outrebounded their opponent 42-29 en route to the nine-point victory.
