Frankie Sullivan fed Rob Chubb for the go- ahead dunk in the closing seconds, giving Auburn a 65-62 win over host Hawaii in an entertaining Diamond Head Classic quarterfinal.
Vander Joaquim's tough bucket in the lane with 8.6 seconds remaining gave Hawaii its only lead at 62-61.
But after a timeout, Sullivan quickly drove the right side of the lane, drew three defenders and fed a trailing Sullivan for a two-handed dunk. Chris Denson stole the ensuing inbounds pass, was fouled with two seconds remaining and made both free throws.
The Rainbow Warriors couldn't get a shot off in the remaining time, ending their three-game winning streak.
Sullivan finished with 17 points and six assists, while Chubb netted 14 for Auburn (8-1), which won its fourth straight game since losing at Seton Hall.
The Tigers will play Long Beach State on Friday.
Zane Johnson scored a game-high 18 points to lead Hawaii (5-5), which trailed 35-29 at halftime after hitting just 2-for-10 from behind the arc.
