Rodney McGruder scored 28 points on 10-of-11 shooting from the field, as Kansas State routed Long Beach State, 77-60, in the championship game of the Diamond Head Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Will Spradling netted 17 points, and Jamar Samuels added 11 points for the Wildcats (10-1), who have won five straight.
Casper Ware and Larry Anderson each scored 17 points for Long Beach State (7-6), which shot just 37 percent from the field.
The Wildcats shot 52 percent in the first half en route to a 40-28 halftime advantage.
Kansas State never trailed in the game and led by as many as 18 points in the second half.
