Super Bowl teams to be decided this weekend
49ers or Giants? Patriots or Ravens? All of our questions about who the best two teams in the NFL will be answered Sunday.
Watching from home, surprisingly, will be Green Bay and New Orleans, who are the only two teams that were picked to win the Super Bowl in The Bayonets Pick 10 Challenge.
In one of the most thrilling finishes in playoff history, maybe the most memorable since the Music City Miracle, San Francisco trumped New Orleans 36-32. The game saw four lead changes in the final four minutes.
Alex Smith completed the game-winning touchdown pass, a 14-yard strike to Vernon Davis, with 9 seconds remaining, just one minute and 28 seconds after New Orleans took a 32-29 lead when Jimmy Graham caught a thrilling 66-yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees.
Meanwhile, Denvers win over Pittsburgh last week proved to be the final fireworks the NFL fan base shall see from Tim Tebow. The Broncos were demolished by the New England Patriots, 45-10.
Tom Brady and the Patriots just seem to have Denvers number. Brady threw for 368 yards and tied Steve Youngs playoff record with six touchdown passes.
The New York Giants spoiled Green Bays hopes of repeating as Super Bowl champions with a dominating 37-20 win at Lambo Field. Eli Manning outplayed Aaron Rogers by completing 21 of his 33 passes for 330 yards and three touchdowns.
The Giants are making a playoff run similar to the one they made in 2008 when they beat the undefeated Patriots in the Super Bowl. This time theyve knocked off another juggernaut in Green Bay.
New England will host Baltimore in the AFC Championship Game at 3 p.m. Sunday, to be aired on CBS. San Francisco will host New York in the NFC Championship Game at 6:30 p.m., to be aired on FOX.
