Operation 'Community Serviced' makes 37 drug related arrests in Russell County

An eight month operation called "Community Serviced" by the Partners Against Illegal Narcotics (P.A.I.N)  Unit has resulted in 37 drug related arrests in Russell County.

Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor said this morning that more arrests will be coming.

Taken in last night when the arrests were made were 10,573 grams of marijuana with a street value of $105,730, 49 grams of cocaine with a street value of $4,900, 209,9 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $20,990, 53 pills of Hydrocone with a street value of $1,325, eight guns, seven vehicles and a large amount of cash.

Involved in the operation were the Russell County Sheriff's Office, the Phenix City Police Department, the Alabama Beverage Control Board, the U.S. Marshal's Service and the  Lee County Sheriff's Office.
