Pacelli played plenty of freshmen during the 2011 season, but it was seniors such as Anthony Huff who laid the foundation for winning seasons to come, according to coach Randy Grace.

“Anthony is just a great team leader,” Grace said. “He showed the others what it takes to be a winner.”

“Things are going to get so good around here I wish I were just a freshman again,” Huff said. Instead, he’ll be a freshman at Point University, where he wants to play fullback.

Huff signed a football grant-in-aid with Point on Wednesday morning. Pacelli’s Christian Trueax signed to play soccer at St. Vincent College in Pennsylvania.

“They run a no-huddle offense at Point,” Huff said. “It is similar to what Oregon runs. It will be exciting.”

Point, an NAIA school, is the former Atlanta Christian College, which is being relocated to a campus in West Point, Ga.

Trueax said it has been a dream of his to play college soccer.

“St. Vincent had a real friendly feeling to it,” Trueax said. “It has very good academics and that is why I’m going.”

He said that he does not mind moving far away to play for the Bearcats and expects to play outside back, which he does at Pacelli.

He also said he is ready to concentrate on this season now that he has his future set.
