The CVCC women’s basketball team defeated Wallace St. Selma 69-66 on Monday.

Akeyvya Jones led the way to victory for the Lady Pirates with 19 points. Achaia Cobb and Nynesha Terry contributed 15 and 10 points, respectively. The Lady Pirates are the No. 1-ranked team in the Southern Conference.

The CVCC men’s basketball team defeated Wallace St. Selma 85-69 on Monday.

Harry Short led all scorers with 16 points and teammate Alre’k Brown posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Trey Stevenson and Johnny Johnson contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively.
