Sheriff's deputies in Troup County, Ga., found themselves in an explosive situation Monday when they discovered a "rolling meth lab" in a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier they'd stopped because the driver was wanted for violating a court order.

They said that while searching the driver and vehicle in the 2400 block of Hamilton Road, they found three bags of apparent methamphetamine. They arrested driver Christopher Calvin Broach, 41, of LaGrange, and while placing him in a patrol car, he told them he needed to "burp the brain" on his meth lab, "before it blows up," they said.

Agents with the sheriff’s narcotics unit called the county fire department, and found three “brains” or containers and released the gases inside them.

"The rolling meth lab was dismantled at the scene, due to the risk of a possible fire and/or explosion while being transported," the sheriff's office reported. "A fire started by one of the containers being dismantled was quickly contained and extinguished without further incident, by the Troup County Fire Department."

Broach is being held in the Troup County Jail on charges of violating of family violence orders, manufacturing methamphetamine and possessing methamphetamine, authorities said.
