A Columbus man was grazed by a bullet while at a Phenix City party early Monday, reports state.

The shooting happened at an unknown location known as the “Backroads,” where the victim had gone for a party earlier that morning. The man was grazed in the leg while in his 1982 white Caprice Classic, and didn’t realize he’d been hit until he was driving by Loop Stough Apartment, off South Seale Road, reports state.

The victim told police he didn’t know the physical address of the white, brick home that hosted the party. As the party ended, he heard several gunshots but didn’t see the shooter.

Moments later, when the victim realized he’d been shot, he drove to Booker T. Washington Apartments in Columbus. A friend then drove the gunshot man to the hospital, police said.

Police say they found a bullet on the driver’s side floorboard of the victim’s car.
