Arnold Middle School student Suren Mahadeo wins Muscogee County Spelling Bee

The winner of the 2012 MCSD Annual Spelling Bee is 7th grader Suren Mahadeo of Arnold Middle School.

He won by correctly spelling the word 'rudimentary' followed by spelling 'tumultuous' correctly to secure the win.

The runner up was 7th grader Pooja Prabakaran from Blackmon Road Middle School, and in third place was 8th grader Catherine Cole representing Midland Middle School.

The bee was this morning at the Columbus Museum and was open to fourth through eighth grade in the Muscogee County School System. As winner from this year's bee, Mahadoe will go on to compete at a regional bee.
