New hockey team from Fort Benning hits the ice

Mike Haskey mhaskey@ledger-enquirer.com Members of Fort Benning's new hockey team hit the ice Monday night at the Columbus Ice Rink for a practice session led by Jerome Bechard, general manager and head coach of the Columbus Cottonmouths. The Benning team is scheduled to take on the Cottonmouths legends in a pre-game exhibition Saturday night at 6 p.m. and then play a Marine team from Camp LeJeune at noon on Sunday at the Columbus Ice Rink. 02/06/12
