A Columbus man was arrested Monday afternoon on a drug trafficking charge after police stopped him for his tinted windows, reports state.

Keith Johnson, 40, is charged with trafficking cocaine, giving a false name, driving while his license was suspended and the excessive tint, police said.

According to reports, Johnson was driving about 2:15 p.m. at Floyd Road and Booth Street when an officer stopped him because his tinted windows were too dark. Johnson then told the officer his name was “Kevin Johnson.”

Police say they discovered Johnson’s real name. They then searched his car, which revealed about 2 1/2 ounces of powder cocaine worth $7,600.
