Behind a defense that force 32 turnovers and utilizing a streaking offense that capitalized on those turnovers, Central-Phenix City dropped Jeff Davis 53-41 on Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery.

B'Kiya Webb led Central with 20 points. The Lady Red Devils will face familiar foe Opelika, a 48-32 winner over Carver-Montgomery earlier in the day, in the Regional final on Friday with a place in the Final Four on the line. The game is set for a 10 a.m. tipoff.

Half: Central 22, Jeff Davis 15 After a slow start and a 9-5 deficit after the first quarter, Central found some shooting touch and has jumped out to a 22-15 lead at the half over Jeff Davis in Montgomery.

Scoring from an unlikely source (senior Artshaya McMillon) helped Central score 17 points in the second quarter. McMillon and Portia Watkins each hit three pointers. Senior B'Kiya Webb is struggling in the paint, shooting just 3 of 8.

Pregame The Central girls are on the floor right now warming up before their game with Jeff Davis. The game is set to start at 1 p.m.

The Enterprise boys just beat Sidney Lanier 58-51. Sidney Lanier right now has the best nickname at the event...the Poets, because that's what Sidney Lanier was.

The Central game also features two female game officials ... the first I've seen that this season.

Opelika 48, Carver-Montgomery 32 The Opelika Bulldogs didn't have a player score in double figures but they managed to beat Carver-Montgomery 48-32 in the first game Tuesday in the Central Regional of the AHSAA playoffs in Montgomery.

Emerald Chatman led Opelika with nine points. Kendall Adams had six points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Opelika plays the winner of the Central-Phenix City vs. Jeff Davis game.

We're at the half of the Sidney Lanier-Enterprise game with Enterprise up 23-19.
