Columbus police arrested two people Monday night after the suspects admitted to smoking marijuana with minors, reports state.

Eddie Ruff, 24, and Jahfri Caldwell, 20, each face charges of possession of marijuana and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said.

According to reports, officers responded about 6:25 p.m. to a report of suspicious people at Whisperwood Apartments, 6300 Milgen Road. The officers searched around Building No. 1029 and found Ruff, Caldwell and three juveniles behind the building.

The officers smelled marijuana, and they asked if the suspects had been smoking. The group admitted to smoking marijuana, but said they had no drugs on them. Police then found two small bags of suspected marijuana worth $30 on the ground covered with leaves, reports state.

Ruff and Caldwell were then arrested, police said.
