City will collect hazardous waste, consumer electronics on Saturday

The city of Columbus will collect hazardous waste and electronics Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the city’s recycling warehouse at 25 22nd Avenue, across Victory Drive from the Dolly Madison Bakery, directly behind the Summit convenience store.

The city will accept paint and solvents, lawn and pool care chemicals, cleaning products and auto products such as old oil, antifreeze and car batteries.

The city will also accept for recycling electronic products such as computers, printers, copiers, fax machines and other consumer electronics. But televisions will not be accepted.
