Life becomes ten times better when you give it a soundtrack. That's one reason I like Spotify. It's so easy to create playlists for any life event or activity -- writing, cooking, exercising or watching a 130-year-old dam explode.
Let's be honest. You'll need some good music to drown out that explosion, which organizers say will sound like the blast of 20 cannons.
Here's a link to my dam playlist in Spotify. If you don't have Spotify on your computer or smartphone, you can also look up the songs on YouTube. Here's a song list and a video for the first song to get you started.
Dam Would Break - Toad the Wet Sprocket
Crack in the Dam - Wookiefoot
Dam - Kasey Chambers
Boom Boom Pow - The Black-Eyed Peas
Explode - Dishwalla
Down River - The Temper Trap
Flood - Jars of Clay
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Johnny Cash (originally by Simon & Garfunkel)
Traffic Jam - James Taylor
