Columbus State's Steve Peterson was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II Southeast District First Team, announced Tuesday.
Peterson, from Jordan High, helped CSU reach the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2006. He led the team in scoring with 14.9 points per game. He is one of only two players in the Peach Belt Conference to average at least 12 points and five rebounds per game as well as having at least 50 assists and 50 steals this season.
Peterson is now eligible to for the NABC Coaches' Division II All-America Team.
