A teen was shot early Thursday while visiting a friend at Benjamin Harvey Hill Homes in LaGrange, reports state.

The shooting happened about 12:50 a.m. in the parking lot of the Whitesville Street homes. A 17-year-old teen was at the apartments when the suspect approached him. The suspect was acting suspicious, and the man decided to walk toward the parking lot where his friend was waiting, police said.

The suspect then started chasing the teen, who ran to his car and jumped into the backseat. As he jumped, he heard a loud noise and realized he’d been shot, police said.

The teen then went to the West Georgia Medical Center, where he was treated and spoke with police, reports state.
