Columbus Police: Suspect arrested in downtown murder

Columbus police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a 19-year-old Phenix City man that happened around 1 a.m. today in downtown Columbus.

Arrested in the shooting death of Keon D. Coleman is 32-year-old Ron Blair of Phenix City.

Blair is in the Muscogee County Jail charged with murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Coleman was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m. this morning at The Medical Center.

Coleman was found shot in the head at the intersection of 12th Street and Broadway. A police officer heard the shot and responded.
