Uptown Columbus announces Spring Event Series

Uptown Columbus kicks off spring with its sixth Spring Concert Series next weekend with the FrogTown Hollow Jam.

Headliners include Natalie Stovall and John Popper of Blues Traveler.

The Uptown Easter Egg Hunt will be April 7 from 10:30 a.m.-noon on the green space on the 10th Street side of RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. It's for children 10 and younger.

The free Friday night concert series begins April 13 with Big Woody and the Splinters.

Others performing are the Lava Lamps, April 20; River City Horns, May 11; Mudcat, April 27 (in Woodruff Park on Bay Avenue); 10:30 Band, May 18 and Peggy Jenkins and the Bizness, May 25. The band for May 4 has yet to be signed.

Also in its sixth year is Market Days on Broadway, which begins April 7 until Nov. 17.

There are other events during the Spring Event Series at RiverCenter, Springer Opera House, Columbus State University and other Uptown businesses.
