American Idol 2012 results May 10: Hollie Cavanagh kicked off; David Cook, Jennifer Lopez sing

ssorich@ledger-enquirer.comMay 10, 2012

After multiple trips to the bottom three, Hollie Cavanagh was eliminated from "American Idol" Thursday night. Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips remain in the competition.

Weigh in: Was the right singer eliminated? Of the top three singers, who will most likely win the competition?

Are you mad that we had to wait about 50 minutes for results on Thursday?

I'm sad to see Hollie go home. Song choice and confidence (or lack thereof) were her biggest weaknesses on "Idol," but I really enjoyed the tone of her voice.

She needed the elusive Moment Wednesday night, and that didn't happen. Her shaky performance of "I Can't Make You Love Me" sealed her fate.

Moving on...this means "American Idol" finalist Phillip Phillips will be in Leesburg, Ga., for his homecoming on Saturday. Get more details here. I'll be in Leesburg for the party: tweeting, Facebooking, blogging and everything in between. Stay tuned.

Also on Thursday's show, David Cook performed "The Last Song I'll Write For You." Jennifer Lopez sang "Dance Again."
